Why Tidemark
What sets a thoughtful financial education apart
The advantages of learning with Tidemark are not marketing claims — they reflect deliberate choices we've made about how to operate and what to prioritise.

What each advantage means in practice
Professional Expertise
The people who lead Tidemark's programmes have worked inside Singapore's financial industry — in private banking, financial planning, and behavioural research. They bring not just formal qualifications but an understanding of how financial decisions play out in practice: what the textbook says, and where reality tends to diverge from it.
This matters because financial education is most useful when it reflects genuine experience, not just an interpretation of a syllabus. Our educators can answer the question behind the question — and they know which real-world complications tend to arise at each stage of financial life.
Tools and Materials
Learning about finance without working through real numbers tends not to stick. Each of our programmes integrates practical exercises — financial mapping worksheets, portfolio simulation tools, planning calculators — that give participants something concrete to engage with during and after sessions.
The materials are designed by our curriculum team and updated before each new intake. Participants keep all digital and printed resources, which means the workbooks and reference guides remain useful long after the programme concludes.
Participant Experience
We work hard to make our programmes feel considered rather than commercial. That starts with group size — we cap cohorts at twelve — and extends to how we communicate, what we include in materials, and how enquiries are handled. People who contact us will speak with someone who can actually answer their question, not be passed through a queue.
We also collect structured feedback at the end of each cohort and treat it seriously. Recurring suggestions have shaped changes to session lengths, materials, and the structure of private consultations in our Architecting programme.
Pricing and Value
Programme fees are set to reflect the quality and depth of what is included — not to maximise margin. We price three distinct levels that correspond to the scope and duration of each programme: SGD 290 for the four-week foundation course, SGD 950 for the eight-week investment programme, and SGD 2,600 for the twelve-week Architecting programme which includes private consultations and an annual review.
There are no hidden fees. The material costs, simulation access, and review sessions are all included in the stated price. We are also exploring SkillsFuture eligibility to reduce the cost barrier for Singapore residents.
Outcomes
We measure programme effectiveness primarily by whether participants feel more capable of thinking about their finances clearly after completing a course. End-of-intake surveys consistently show that participants report improved understanding of their financial position, greater confidence in evaluating financial options, and clearer goals for the decisions ahead of them.
These are the outcomes that matter for an education provider. We do not claim to make financial decisions on participants' behalf — we aim to make them better equipped to make those decisions themselves, or to engage more productively with licensed advisers when they choose to do so.
Comparison
Tidemark vs. typical alternatives
Most routes to financial education in Singapore are tied to a product outcome. We think that creates a conflict of interest that affects the quality and impartiality of what is taught.

What Makes Us Different
Distinctive features of the Tidemark approach
No product agenda
We are not affiliated with any bank, insurer, or investment firm. Our programmes discuss products in general terms — how they work, what to consider when evaluating them — without steering participants toward any specific provider or solution.
Built for Singapore
Most financial education resources available in Singapore are adapted from overseas curricula. Ours are not. Every programme is written for Singapore's regulatory environment, covers CPF and SRS in depth, and reflects the financial decisions that residents in Singapore actually face.
Annual review included
Participants in the Architecting programme return twelve months after their cohort ends for a structured annual review — an opportunity to reassess the plan they built during the programme in light of changes in their circumstances or the broader environment.
Education, not advice
Tidemark occupies a clear, principled position. We provide education. We do not provide regulated financial advice. Participants who want personalised product recommendations are encouraged to engage a licensed financial adviser — and our programmes help them do so from a position of greater understanding.
